Yes that is correct, but when I am in the particualr network settings dialog, they are not being applied. Only when I disconnect from all servers and in the global settings dialog do the settings "stick," but they affect all other servers. I DO NOT have the new setting USE GLOBAL SETTINGS FOR ALL NETWORKS checked.

Sorry for the confusion, I forgot to put that the individual network settings were not doing anything in my previous post.

Save?

Have you saved the settings on the new networks using Save Settings Now?

Also, did you import settings with the new build, or is everything fresh? Sometimes importing is causing these sort of problems.

Try saving the settings, closing Invision, and reopening it. Test on the network again to see if it works. It is best to test these kind of things using major networks (Undernet, Efnet, etc) as we know the major networks send the correct network name for Invision to use when saving settings. Some other networks do not, so that's why settings appear not to save. Also, try testing using the same SERVER, not just the same NETWORK. It is possible that can cause problems depending if certain servers aren't sending accurate information for Invision to use.

After that, check your mIRC\Invision\Settings folder and see if you have a folder titled with the network name you saved from (e.g. Undernet). If so, check that there are settings files saved in that folder.

I imported them :/

I'm not sure what happened now, I shut down invision, and re-opened and the dialog saying it was the first time it has been ran and asked if I wanted to import. This time I said no, and everything seems to be fine.

I'm not sure why the 1st run dialog came up :/

thanks

OK, I just lost settings again. I know because the mIRC title bar lost everything (only says "mIRC), and the text lag is showing in each status window (?I-n-v-i-s-i-o-n? LAG: 0.571 Seconds).

I will reinstall Invision tomorrow when I have time and finish a download.

Ok...

Ok, I've managed to reproduce this problem with Invision 3515. I will attempt to find out where the problem is occuring as it is new in this build.

Reproduction of the problem resulted in all settings lost until loading from backup. And loading from backup did not load certain settings including the Theme and a few other pieces of information (Fserv explorer, converting cps>kps, bytes>GB/MB, etc).

Restoring from backup worked fine for most settings, however. Note that the restoring from backup results in you being set back to having run Invision the same number of times as where you were when you restored. This could be the cause of losing settings repeatedly if everytime you restore, you go back to the first time running Invision. I've not verified that is the case, but it is a possibility. So if you continually lose settings and use the restore feature, you may want to start Invision a few times so that it says you've used it more than once and then backup your settings. No guarantees if this will help as I've not tested it yet, but it's a possibility.

cryoa, if I find where the problem is, I'll let you know.
