history revive

history revive

I have been attempting to use the /msg history revive function as selceted in the main setup, but it does not bring up the history.

What am I doing wrong

Maybe you miss the point of it's purpose.
If you get a message or talk to someone over a query and then close the window, you will see
the last few lines of the old conversation if the user query you again.

I understand the concept. It is not functioning when I choose it in the main setup

Have you enables the logging function for messages ?
Because history revive uses this :)

Alt-O > IRC > Logging
On the drop down list, choose either "chats" or "both"

Do you log to network specific subdirs? If you do, try without that option.

Here are the settings I use for logging (and history revive works for me).

Automatically log: Chats
Timestamp logs checked
Strip codes checked
Include Network checked
Date filenames checked (by day)
Except status checked
