Problems with Invision

Not sure if this is a new problem or old, but i did search for a good 30 minutes before adding this topic, and found nothing that seems to cover the problem i'm having.

The thing is when i try to run mIRC with invision i don't seem to get any of the extra stuff, all i get is mIRC with a new gui.
And while normally i'd just be happy with that, the fact that i can't get access to things i know i should be able to irks me.
I'm not sure if it's the way i installed it or what.
Anyway just in case there is a conflict somewhere my specs are:
Windows XP Pro (no SP1)
mIRC 6.03
1.4 Athlon XP
512mb ram.
Also i just recently did a clean install of XP, it was on a different partition and i didn't re-install mIRC, i don't think that should cause a problem but one never does know.
Any and all help will be appreciated.

The only thing that comes to my mind is that you may have installed invision while mIRC was running.
Did you?

yeah i did should i have not done that, when it comes to software i'm about as knowledgeable as...well as someone who knows very little
