Getting "ERROR > 401: No such nick/channel: "

Postby Slacker » Mon Feb 24, 2003 2:45 pm

I'm getting an error message of " ERROR > 401: No such nick/channel:", followed by the IP of whoever's trying to get the file from me. Annoying thing is, I can SEE them in the channel listings.

Apparently, they're not seeing the transfer attempt at all, while having the correct ports enabled, etc.

I'd guess it was some kind of a firewall or router issue, except that people behind both can get files from me without a problem.

Any guesses or help on how to fix this?

Get the fix pack available.
Check the http://invision.lebyte.com/i2forum/viewtopic.php?t=1835 thread.

Fix pack snagged and applied. (Thanks, Wacho!)

And I still get the same problem. For example, if I queue up a file for someone, then push the file.

It's rather annoying.

I get the same response when I try and /msg someone who is no longer
on the irc. I don't know why we need the error number...a simple "No such nick or channel" would be sufficient..
