[10053] Software caused connection abort

hi guys

i've been facing this problem for about a week now. ever since i moved on to a faster connection.

i get this disconnected from the servers almost as soon as i connect and start to download and sometimes even as i enter the channel

i use windows xp professional and do not use a firewall.

First this is first... ignore that it says "software caused". That really means nothing. You get that error no matter the cause (pinging out, connection reset by peer, etc).

Now, my guess if this is since you changed your connection is that it is either your ISP has problems with IRC/DCC stuff, or you have a router that has that problem. Faster connections often have routers, so that very well could be the problem.

Having the same error since i changed ISP to cable provider, also getting disconnects from server in MSN and eMule.
But my download speed is stable and i never getting any problems when i download, just disconnects from server.
I think mIRC should make more error messages in new version...
