fserve help

Postby gompka » Sun Feb 15, 2004 12:30 pm

Having some problems with my fserver. People cannot gain access to it. At first i found out the problem was I was only letting people on my friends list dcc me. I fixed that. I am running mcafee firewall but mirc has full acess and even if i turn it off people can't get in. I run ctcp triggers.

From the specs I looked at, it appears that the modem you have allows 2 computers to connect to it on the same ADSL line? If so, then it is a router. So that will mean setting it up to forward ports to your computer. You can check your manual for information on doing that, or perhaps L|B knows that particular modem's setup.
You can find me at #Invision on irc.irchighway.net or #OldGames on irc.undernet.org if you need me for anything.

I don't know anything about the 2 computer thing and the modem didn't come with a manual. However if it helps i used to use sysreset 2.54 with this modem and everything was ok...
