If you use the "Global Reverse DCC" function, you don't have to modify the configuration of your router.
If you don't want to use it, then you'll have to forward the port range configured in mirc (Alt-O > DCC > Options)

Reverse DCC

Postby Riamus » Mon Feb 16, 2004 6:09 am

Reverse DCC is in Invision menu > DCC Manager > Setup.

Note that with this, you will only be able to send to people with routers/firewalls would be able to configure their router/firewall so that they could serv if they wanted to. That means that some people who are unable to do this will not be able to connect to you.

It is much better to configure your router instead, tho reverse dcc will always work if you set it up correctly.

For your router, you can look at the router setup information at or else read through your manual, check the router manufacturer's website, or e-mail/call the router manufacturer or your ISP to see how to "Forward Ports". You will then want to forward the ports that you have set up in your port range in mIRC DCC options.
You can find me at #Invision on irc.irchighway.net or #OldGames on irc.undernet.org if you need me for anything.
