Servers auto-starting on new networks.

Postby PopWeasel » Thu Oct 23, 2003 9:37 pm

I run an announcer, fserv, and xdcc on my home network and they work ok most of the time. However, when I'm in leech mode and using ircspy and other xdcc search sites, I end up on networks that I've not been on before. Every time I join a new network, my fserv and announcer auto start! This is a pain cause I hafta take a couple minutes to turn them off and go into their settings and disable auto-start for that network. Since my MOTD's and announcer advertise my home channel, it's quite rude for those to be running in other channels I visit and I've actually been kicked from channels a couple times when I didn't realize they had started automatically. Servers should not auto-start on new networks by default. Just my two cents. :|
Thanks.

You probably have the servers on auto-start in the global settings.
Open a new server window with /server -n, and while it's active, check the settings
of the things you want.

Thanks, cnils, I think that may just have done what I was looking for. I'll know within a day or so when I'm back in leech mode.
