Nick Colors problem

Postby Razy » Tue Aug 26, 2003 1:35 am

I stay logged on to multiple servers all the time but I can't keep my nick colors when I'm logged into more than one server. By nick colors I mean for certain people I like to have certain colors and you can assign this in the address book when you type /uwho. So I'm wondering where these names and the colors assigned to them are stored so that I can make the list how I want it and put it in all the folders of the networks or how I can get them to stay for more than 10 minutes at a time. I also really would like to get this to work because on most the networks I'm on now they have a new symbol for aops either a ! or a & and they have the same color nicks as the no modes. So please if anyone can help me with this... a work around or something. Thank you ahead of time for anyone that responds.

hi,
i had such a problem too:
go to the addressbook (between colors and dcc-send)

=> go to "nick"-menu
=> "add"
=> if u want to have a specific person to be yellow for example, u put his hostmark into "nick or address, on the left upper position take yellow and, if u only want him to be yellow, if he is op, make "channel modes" "@"
if u want him to be allways yellow, activate instead of "channel modes" "any mode"
=> if u want all +v to be blue, make only the "channel modes" "+" and the color blue
=> if u use "users list", the "user levels" are:
elite: 30
fellow op: 20
friend: 15
i don't use the rest :)

=> be careful: the upper line is over the under: for example
if the upper line says "all + blue"
and the second line "all + yellow"
=> all + are BLUE !!!

did i understand ur question ??? i don't know :), i hope....
sorry for my bad english, i hope u understand it,
cya + have fun

Nick Colors

All you have to do is set your colors (and all other settings) for GLOBAL. Then those Global settings are used when you enter a new network. To set for Global, disconnect from all networks and change your settings. Save them. Then connect to a network you've never been on and see if it works.

NOTE: If you've been on a network, you will have to manually edit those settings for that network since it's already saved the colors and other settings for that network. Global is used when no settings were entered yet.
