xdcc prob...

Postby G3m1n1 » Mon Sep 15, 2003 8:26 pm

Hello, I'm having a little prob with xdcc lately. I keep getting this: "You have a DCC pending, Set your client to receive the transfer. (150 seconds remaining until timeout)" on everything I go for. I can never connect and it just times out. Invison tells me to set my settings to accept, but I have no idea what it means. Can anyone help me?

U can try to /dccallow +Nick then when it times out try the trigger again, and that shoud fix it, only other thing is if its one just one xdcc then chances are that bot is firewalled, also check your settings under Options Dcc and make sure show get dialog is checked or if you would like to set your script to auto get go here and select the option that fits u best http://www.ircmadeasy.com/setting_clien ... _files.htm

I went through and set all those options for DCC already. The only thing I do differently is turn Ignore completely off. I don't really bother with making a custom list. I have added them to dcc allow too and it doesn't work. Could it be anything else?

it is possible either you OR they are being blocked by their firewall. Most firewalls let you receive no problem but block sends. (this includes the firewall built into routers) try setting a port range and matching it with the ones in dcc/options first and last port with max DCC sends equal or smaller than the range

Ok, I had my pc on a DMZ. I removed it from the DMZ and forwarded ports 1024-5000 to my pc. I then connected to a server and channel and attempted an xdcc download. I'm sill getting an Unable to Connect error.

'tis possible that you didnt forward the port to the correct LAN IP

also possible that the bot/person you are trying to get from isnt configured properly

I double checked the port forwarding and they are pointing to the correct IP. Every bot I try fails, no matter what server i'm on or what channel i'm on. My bro, who is on my network behind the same router with no port forwarding can download from anyone just fine. That is what burns me the most......he can download with no problem using Invision w/out ports and running ZAP, but I can't download anything w/out ZAP w/ ports 1024-1030 and 53 forwarded to me or even on the DMZ! It makes absolutely no sense.
