When I type in the trigger or click on the name, the window that allows me access to my hardrive doesn't pop up. I get the chat screen instead.

Go to Invision - Main Settings - General tab - Miscellaneous section and enable 'Use Fserve Explorer.' Even if it was previously set, sometimes the settings get changed for some reason so go back and double-check it.

i checked the fserve exlporer box. i've even tried the force fserve explorer option but I can't seem to get the explorer window to open up. are there any more troubleshooting options. I'm running 6.03

Try hitting F6 on your key board. If that dont work try typing /w.set Invision Fxp on . if thta dont work reinstall
