Multiple concurrent spaces will always be trimmed down to one space when they pass through the mIRC script engine.
There is nothing you can do about that.
You could work around it by letting all text that shouldn't be modified fall through and be handled by mIRC itself.
But that would make the script very inconsistent.

well other scripts dont delete em...

other scripts dont delete multiple spaces before sending it out... what if i was to $replace($1-, , ) - after first comma = space, after second = alt +255... but where would i put this for when stuff is typed in the 'editbox text'?

The spaces are gone even in $1- so you are lost.
The only way to display the line as you type it is to let mIRC display it itself.
Invision lets you use Ctrl-Enter to do just that.

If you arent using a whole lot of spaces, you can add the ASCII character equivalent of a space to the line by pressing(and hold) the ALT key and typing 0160(then release ALT) on your numbers pad. It will insert a space, you will have to type the key combination each time for each space you want to insert, or you can do a few and then copy/paste them....
