Is there a difference in speed when you manually send a file compared to when someone requests a file from your fserv?
Have you been able to get faster uploads using other mIRC scripts? If so then explain. Try just plain ole mIRC and see how fast you can send a file. Also, have you gotten faster upload speeds with other P2P or Direct Connect programs. If so then explain.
IRC itself does have some limitations that need to be taken into account. First go into Invision > DCC Manager > Setup. If you are using reverse dcc init, try turning it off and setup correct port forwarding for routers and/or firewall functionibility. Turn off all software Firewalls and active virus scanners and then try to send someone a file to see if the active scanning and filtering of those programs is interfering with your upload speed.
Check Enable PDCC and Enable Fast Sends. Disable DCC Per Send Bandwidth Limit by entering 0 in the appropriate fild. Do the same for Total Server Bandwidth Limit and set it to 0. Also set Packet Size to 8192 (effectively giving you 80K+ speeds.. 1024 is for 10-20K.. 2048 is for 20-40K.. 4096 is for appx 49-80K.. and so on).
Also wouldn't be a bad idea to go into mIRC's DCC Options: Alt-O > DCC > Fserv and make sure Total Max CPS is set to 0.
If you try everything I have listed above and all else fails, see if i'm available sometime at #INVISION on IRC.IRCHighway.NET sometime (just to warn you i'm not on very often and if you don't get a response keep messaging me until you do to make sure I get your msg). I'll verify everything with you and try some things.
