Someone help please

Postby Ranger808 » Tue May 13, 2003 9:12 am

I've been using Invision 2520 with the fixes for about 6 months now. In the past, I was operating on an athalon 1.4ghz system with 512 mb ram.
I never experienced any problems and could stay connected indefinitely.

I recently upgraded to an Asus P4C800 motherboard with the p4 3.0 /800 fsb chip. Now when I connect, it runs for an unspecified amount of time and I get a error message that mirc has encountered a problem and must be shut down.

The system continues to run fine and so do other programs. I've tried reloading the entire system several times and also the mirc/invision files, but to no avail.

Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated. TIA

The only suggestion I can think of is to back-up any settings or scripts you've done, completely uninstall it and also delete the directory after. Then reinstall mIRC and Invision and try it...

Thanks, I already tried that. I've reloaded the operating system, mirc and invision probably 15 times. But the problem still continues.

It really gets frustrating when you've tried just about everything. I even turned off the Hyperthreading thinking it may be that, but again, the problem is still there.

Mirc/Invision will usually run for about 2-3 hours, then will shut down. Not sure what else to try. I know the settings are correct too.

I was importing from the previous installation of mirc/invision that I had. Importing saved my settings and records, but messed something else up entirely.
