Disconecting

I connect to a server fine, but when i start joining channels it disconnets it does this repeatedly over and over again, i have the latest invision out. only once did i actually connect and stay connected. the channels have about 800 people in them. i'm running a P3 800 with Gforce 2 and 1024x768 resolution... anyone who could help would be appreciated, i'm stuck using excursion now, but i don't like it that much

join the network but don't enter any channel, go to invision, main settings, advanced, and uncheck "Update IAL on channel join" then try joinin the big channels.
