Note on gmail.com accounts

In an effort to clean up the database and remove spam accounts, over 2000 accounts have been deleted. Any accounts that have never posted anything on the forum that were created before April were removed. As long as you've posted something, your account is still active. There's no reason to have an account and not post anyhow, so this should not affect anyone who is here for help. If for some reason, your account was removed and you just haven't had time to post in the past, just create a new account and post something. In the future, we'll be removing accounts without posts on a regular basis. Note that posting spam does not count and will get your account removed that much faster.

Spam from gmail.com accounts is still increasing and we're about to permanently ban such accounts. If your account is set up already with a gmail.com account, I recommend changing your e-mail soon to something else so you still have access to the forum without having to create a new account.

Ok, I'm once again removing the gmail.com ban for users as I've made changes to help stop spammers. We'll see how long it lasts. If the changes made stop spammers from coming back, we'll leave gmail.com active. If we see spamming from gmail.com address increase again, it will get banned again. I recommend that if you have another e-mail address that you use that instead in case it does get re-banned.
