highlight doesn't show text

Normal Text was already set at white.

I got version 1816 installed. When I highlight over black text, it shows. In 3515, it doesn't show. This is what it looks like....

As I said, this is nothing to do with Invision. The fact that you upgraded doesn't mean anything. The difference is that your mIRC options are not the same after you updated and that's why it changed.

Compare your color settings in Alt-K and make sure they are exactly the same (mainly the Normal Color). Then see how it works. You can also test this by sticking the 6.20 version of mIRC.exe into both Invision folders and running it and seeing if maybe it's a change in mIRC from one version to the next. In 6.20, as I mentioned, you need your Normal Color text to be different from your Background Color in Alt-K options.

I turned on both 3515 and 1816. Both have the same color settings in ALT+K.

I copied the mirc.exe from 6.21 onto my second 3515... it worked! Now I can highlight. The full install for 3515 comes with mirc 6.17, maybe the version should be changed to a higher one.

It's 6.17 that is the problem, not the color settings. I just found a mirc 6.17 install and it does not show text when you highlight.
