stop ads ReVisited

Is this the only solution to stopping fserver ads?
Our whole channel is plauged by this problem.

As per L|B's instructions -
that is great , but I wish this would be applied in the patch or new version please...

Run with No advertisment Not remaining Checked after Restart of Script
You can put this in perform for the network you want to run a silent ad on....

/timerFS 1 5 /w.set Fserve SilentMode On

In my case

(/me is running —I-n-v-i-s-i-o-n— 2.0 Build 3515 with Advanced File Serving features by cRYOa on mIRC v6.14 32bit obtained from:« http://www.i-n-v-i-s-i-o-n.com)

AUTO START ON CONNECT was checked
and then
Run with no advertisement was always unchecked autmatically when connecting to IRC and the ad was displayed

i unchecked AUTO START ON CONNECT
and WOW
when i was disconnected and reconnected to IRC the Ad was not displayed anymore

so the error must be somewhere when the fserver is already running, and you get connected to IRC
and invision trys to start the fserver (although its already running)

If it's not set to auto-start, then it WON'T display ads when you start because the server wouldn't be started. Silent ads are completely different.

Also, you should use 3515A. As far as double display of ads, that's normal and does need to be changed in the next version. Do note, that if you don't join a channel right away after connecting, the ad will not display twice.

If "Auto Start on Connect" is checked it WILL uncheck "Run with no Advertisement"

In order for "Run with no Advertizement" to work "Auto Start on Connect" MUST be unchecked.
As long as the fserv was running when Invision was shut down it will be started when it starts up again with only "Run with no Advertizement".

It's that simple. No patch or fix is needed, from what I can tell this was purposeful.
