ban certain nicks

lets say i wanna ban a nick that contains the "Satan" in its name from my server. can i do this

ie: Satan666, GoSatan should both be banned

Type:

/ban #chan *Satan*!*@*

That should do it. Then just test it with various nicks and see if it works.

that wont ban from the channel will it? i just want to ban from me server.

My mistake... just go to DCC Manager then and click on Bans and click Add. Then enter:

*Satan*!*@*

Test it with different variations to make sure it works.

i went to the user list manager and it looks confusing.

Go there, click Add New. Enter the name you want to use for the "user" so you can easily identify it (this can be anything you want). Then enter the ban address -- *Satan*!*@* -- and then you'll have to alt-tab to the user list again (or use the task bar to select it again.. it'll be behind Invision's main window). Click the "nick" you added. Press the DCC Banned radio button. Press Apply. Press OK. You're done.
