u know the error message u get when u try to get a file from an xdcc bot, it goes something like this, you have a dcc pending set your connection to accept

what ports would i need to open to fix this problem?

that is normaly a bot problem and not a problem on your end , u may also want to make sure that the type of file its sending isnt ignored in your DCC options under mIRC

Also remember that some networks require you to /dccallow a person in order to receive certain file types.
