it would be cool if you could type "!yahoo" and an explorer window opened to yahoo.com. can it be done with existing mirc?

yes, it can be done, there are a few scripts out there(not invision unfortunatley) that have the feature that will open a web-browser in a channel style window directly inside mIRC
