Fserve explorer most likely closes because other people have anti camping turned on.

Settings loss has been a problem. Most people don't realize that they get new settings for each network. If you connect to a network you've never been on before - you get defaults. One way around it is set up your defaults to be how you like all others to be. type /server -n then select that window, go to the main settings and start setting up. When finished, connect to some server, finish your settings completely and then use the settings backup feature.
