Well i just started with linux and use x-chat... i would like to serve but x-chat is kind of hard...+ i cant get wine emulator to run properly..
so invision for linux.man what a kick that would be

you like have the windows one is perfect work on the linux one.

Have you tried using it with wine?

Install invision onto mirc 6.03 then copy the folder over to linux and run with wine.

Although I haven't extensively tested it, it does work

I have heard that the new wine emulator that is coming out is suppose to have a GUI. This would be real helpfull. So now you could just click on it, install and get an hard on :roll:

(joking). yeah the wine emulator... oh and btw install the new kernel. it will emulate the windows applications faster.(well..it did by me.)

That is not EXACTLY true. Atleast not with the new KDE. I suggest KNOPPIX since it boots from CD and you can use it as a live file system. WINE is built in so you only need to set it up over the GUI. If you already have Windows installed the installation is normally under:

/mnt/hda1/WINNT

but only if you mounted your HD and you have windows NT / XP or 2000.
Just READ what WINE wants and you shouldnt have a problem.

TIPP: Dont kill WINE if it doesnt load right away. It might take a while. Especially if you have a slow computer like mine (233 MMX).

And if anybody can port BASIC to C then please go ahaead and make us LINUX users happy and port Invision!

BTW: You can find KNOPPIX under and use the FTP server next to you.

wickedwackguy where can we get the source code for mirc and invision to port from basic to c. and how do u know that is basic... and no other prog language..
just asking..source code.. we need the source code

finally got invision to work under linux.
well king of linux (lindows) and downloaded the wine for debian systems.. it installed in a brezze and fast. not like rpm's dependency !#@!. well happy to say it works 100% so go and try it out

the code is in VB (visual basic) and you just need to open up the scipt files. other wise you still need a IRC client to port it to. anyways i told you that WINE would work! but lindows? god man i have only heard bad stuff about it.. but if your happy
