Getting disconnected from network

Postby S_O_B » Sat Apr 02, 2005 1:06 pm

I have two problems.

I was using Invision 3515 and mIRC 6.16 when I had this problem. I could connect to the network and just sit there with no problems, but as soon as I would enter a main channel the lag meter would go nutz and I would get disconnected. I could join smaller channels on these networks with no problems, but when I tried to join the channels with the most people I would constantly get disconnected. I have no idea what is making this happen. I am not getting booted or anything like that, it is just disconnecting.

Second problem. Because of what was happening above, I decided to go back to Invision 2520 and mIRC 6.12. I downloaded fresh copies from here and installed them but Invision says I can not use that version of mIRC and I need to get the correct version (which was a lower version than the one I was using). I assume there is some fix for this. I found a topic in the forums that had links that were supposed to tell me how to fix this problem, but they are dead links now, so they are useless.

I would like to fix both problems if I could so I can see if I like the new invision and mirc, and if I don't, then I can go back to the old scripts.

well,

I had that problem 2, but first i changes the settings of the ports: standaard = 1024 to 5000)

Change that setting, like this = 500 to 65000

and if you have a firewall or so, try and see if you can disable your firewall, and trying connect
to a server (Main channel)

Thats the only 2 things that i can think of

Turn off "Update IAL" from Main Settings > ADV tab.
You can find me at #Invision on irc.irchighway.net or #OldGames on irc.undernet.org if you need me for anything.
