Good day,
The Fserver changes capital letters into small letters when showing it's index and sending files.
This is highly unwanted for me because I'm using the server to promote certain files.
They are the result of hard work and I want them to look the best possible.
I can mention a few more details about this problem.
Invision changes the caps to small letters when showing its Fserver index to a user.
The way the user queues the file determines the way the file is sent.
Obviously users copy a filename without caps so it gets sent without caps.
(Note: If a user somehow would know the original filename and would use capital letters to queue the file,
it actually gets send as queued: including capital letters).
PLEASE correct this as soon as possible because for now I have to force myself to use another script.
Thanks!
Greetings,
Bushdoctor.
[Edit]
Bullocks!! After some testing it turns out that it's a Mirc thing. Not an Invision bug.
That sucks mucho. My apologies for starting a topic about nothing.
I won't delete it... so ya'll can have a laugh over me. heh.
[Edit2]
Okay, that was a wrong conclusion.
Turns out that it IS possible to show and offer files with caps included through an Fserver.
The Syris script does it.
I quote a line from an Fserver: Lost - Pilot (unedited 2hr version) part 1.mpg 500.6 MB
So that returns me to my original request: Please find a way to work around this problem.
Greets and thanks.
