sounds not being shared. Invision blocks it. ictcp.mrc bug

Postby Starmaster » Tue Sep 16, 2003 4:20 pm

ok. to clarify, the sound in question is if someone else does a "/sound file.wav" In all the other add-ons and in basic mirc this plays the file if you have it or tells you if you don't. Options are set correctly and it works in mirc. I install invision 2520 and it is dead. The only indication the command was issued is that I can see it in the status window. Now I can DO the command and here it quite well so it is not a corrupt file or speakers off. Hardware is fine, send is fine. Recieve only goes as far as the status window. Using invision build 2520 before and after patch, before and after sfx after build patch, and on mirc 6.02 and 6.03.
Problem occures with native scripts only although I have add-ons now.

ok. unloaded groups till it worked, loaded one by one till it quit. the culprit is the ictcp.mrc file. HELP!

still waiting for answer people. follows in mirc 6.1, 6.11, and 6.12

Something in that script is not allowing /sound (file name) to trigger my computer to play the file

Thanks again to cnils who answered this in the general category

At about line 71 in ictcp.mrc, after
Code:
if $1 == PING { return }

add
Code:
if $1 == SOUND { return }

It seems to work great as long as you have sounds enabled in mirc
