Common problem?

Postby Scorp23 » Mon Feb 17, 2003 11:13 pm

I am not sure if this is a common problem with build 2520, but everytime I set my away message, I get kicked from GamesNET.net for excess flood. However, if I do it manually such as /raw away <msg>, I don't get booted. This never happened to me on the previous version of Invision, just this one. Is there something that I can do to fix this so that I don't get kicked? I really appreciate and like Invision, so I would hate to drop the script because of something like this.

Check in Invision -> Away manager that you didn't set the away message timer to zero.

No, it is set to 30 minutes and to display my away message every 60 minutes. This didnt happen to me in build 2148. I am just going to go find that build and use that. Thank you.

Did you apply the fix pack for 2520? One issue with the away system is fixed in it.

Ok, I just got my computer back up and running.

Yes, I just installed the patch and I still get kicked for excess flood whenever I set away from the Away Manager. I may go back to using build 2104 because that build still works for me. I would suggest that whatever away code you used with 2104, you use it with 2520. For now, I guess I will just not set myself as away, either from the Away Manager or using the /away command.
