private messages pop up in fornt of everything.

This is somthign that has happend to me on numerous versions of invison, everything is going fine when out of nowhere my private messages start to pop up in front of everyhting as I receive them. this is after making no recent changes. The only solution I have found to fix this is to completely re-install invison. I've wondered if it is caused my me activating some feature with a shortcut key combination. Anyhow if anyone knows how to fix this I REALLY want to know.
