How to remove the color in the quit message

Ok, I have been banned from a channel because the quit message is a color and someone told me the color blue.
Does anyone know if the quit message has colors and how do I remove them?

The default quit message does use colors. There are two ways to suppress this -

Main method: Open up mIRC options (Alt+O), go into IRC -> Messages on the left side. For "Quit message", replace "$iq" with anything you want, or delete "$iq" and leave the textbox blank.

Alternate method: Connect to the IRC server, then go into the Invision menu, choose "Main Settings", and in the General tab enable "Stealth Mode", located in the left middle.
