New To Using Invision

I am an op in a chat room and I just installed Invision today. There are a couple of things I found different from mIRC..... 1) there is not a command where you can 'change nick'.... 2) When I come into the room I am in op status...and w/ Invision I can de-op....but I can't op back up unless I leave the room and come back in. Any ideas ? Thanks
