Setting away

Go to Away Manager in your Invision menu and set your Away nickname to whatever you want it to be. Then, when you want to go away, you can just type /away Reason. To return, just type /away

That worked fine but when typing /away to get back it gets me back but the right column still shows me as being away. Do I have to change the nick in the away manager back to akuleana from akuleana|away? Thanks in advance.

Hm. I never use it, so didn't know it didn't change the nick back. Yes, you'll want to change yourself back manually. We'll see about changing that when we do the next patch.

I used to use that, but then seen that most people thought it was rather annoying, so stopped... But anyway, when i did use it, the only time i really saw where it wouldnt' set your nick back when coming back from away was when you'd get disconnected from the server while you were using your away nick. I guess that would confuse it and it would think that was your normal nick and wouldn't change it back itself. Otherwise it always changed my nick back.

Hm, it didn't seem to work when I tested it. Perhaps something changed that makes it not work. Could you test it, Yusuke, and see if it works for you?

I do agree that AFK nicks aren't nice to have in a channel.

I just tried it and it set my name away and back just fine
