Invision i2b3515 install problems

Postby Crispy888 » Sun Feb 26, 2006 10:32 pm

Hey guys, I seem to have a problem running the installation program for invision 3515

I uninstalled mIRC and did a fresh reinstall of the latest version (6.17) then tried running the invision setup, but nothing's been working for me so far.
Also tried different download sites/mirrors with the thought that the one i had was bad, but they all seem to crash at the same place for me - right after you click on the setup program and it displays "checking for mIRC"

I do apologize if this issue has been addressed before, but that's because i havent had any seriuos problems with invision up until now - I haven't had any problems with it actually. It just won't install for me. :(

Any help would be much appreciated.

You need to install Invision into the same folder as mIRC. Also, unless you want to do some fixes that are listed in the forum, you should use mIRC 6.14 instead of 6.16 or 6.17.
You can find me at #Invision on irc.irchighway.net or #OldGames on irc.undernet.org if you need me for anything.

Ah, yes - i tried what you mentioned - installing invision into the same folder as mIRC but came up with the same result.

I believe it started when i was playing with a desktop customization program called Stylexp, didn't turn out so good so i uninstalled it and unfortunately, the problem still remains. I'll try to find out the cause of it. In the meantime any more suggestions would be nice. thanks for your time. :)

Well, the only time it should say "checking for mirc" is if it's not installed in the same folder, I believe. It's been awhile since I've installed, so I can't remember for sure, though.

If nothing else, go to http://ircmadeasy.com/ and go to the Invision section and download the file that has mIRC+Invision so that you don't even need to install mIRC separately.
