Invision settings

Postby mohavlich » Sun Sep 25, 2005 3:37 pm

Hey, I have a computer that will sometimes restart on its own (don't ask  ) but when this happens and INVISION is on, when I load it the next time all of my settings are gone. Is there a way to stop this from happening and/or is there a way to make it automatically backup its settings once a day or so? Thanks.

The settings problem is an issue that we still need to get fixed. Right now, it's on my to-do list of things to work on with trying to set up another patch release while we're waiting for an official release. Your best option until we have a release that fixes this would be to save all your settings the way you want in Invision and then to wait about 15 minutes to make sure everything has been saved properly. Close Invision after the 15+ minutes, then go and create a backup of your Invision\Settings\ folder (or at least your Invision\Setting\networkname\ folder(s) that you want settings for). You can then copy your backup settings over the top of the messed up settings and everything should be fine.
You can find me at #Invision on irc.irchighway.net or #OldGames on irc.undernet.org if you need me for anything.
