Heh... I think I've been around here, fixing problems, coding addons, etc long enough to know the difference. I stated that as a way to work around the issue. By having one extra slot open, you don't reduce your total speed to each person by all that much and you allow for another download in case one or more of the downloads is slow.

As for why it was disabled, I don't know. I only know it hasn't been available for a really long time. It may be that it just never worked [well] and that it was removed because of that, but left in the dialog in case it was ever made to work.

well, it's not a way of getting around it, because if my total upload rate is 100K, and i have 2 transfers (one dial-up user at 3KB/s, and one broadbad user at 97KB/s) and i open up another slot, well then i've taken those users down to 33KB/s each, if they are all broadband users that queue up while i was away.

I'm sorry, but 33KB/s is unnacceptable

oh yeah, and P.S. - i've been using computers about 10-15 hours a day since before DOS was an OS, even years before Q-basic, so don't try proving to me what you know and all, just provide a solution, not something like "adding a slot" which just slows down everyone
