Invalid CTCP Command

Postby Kasparelli » Mon Jun 13, 2005 5:59 am

Why do I get this in my status window. It appears to be response from, or in connection with, a person that is serving wma files in a channel i am in. I get this in different channels from different ppl. A couple times the person serving has asked me to 'stop whatever it is i am doing' and has threathened to put me on ignore, because apparently they are seeing something on their end from me as well. What can i do turn 'turn this off'. I am using Invision 3515A

It appears as though people are sending you a CTCP message. Invision is set up to give an error message to people if they send a CTCP request that Invision believes is invalid.

To disable that, look in the Developer's Corner Forum at "some basic changes to Invision." Just scroll down to the CTCP error message section and do what it says.

NOTE: If you are requesting the files, make sure you don't type "WMA" or "MP3" in the ctcp request.
You can find me at #Invision on irc.irchighway.net or #OldGames on irc.undernet.org if you need me for anything.
