People having a hard time connecting.

Postby Xarin » Tue May 24, 2005 10:11 pm

Ok, first of all, let's describe my setup. The internet connection for the computer I'm serving on comes through my DSL into the router they gave me. On that router, ports 59, 113 and 4001-4009 have been opened up for IRC. Then the connection goes to my primary computer which is running XP with the firewall off (in order to get this thing working). The connection then goes out to my LAN and to my computer that's serving, which is running ME. Now...

Everything is working.... sort of. People can or cannot connect, seemingly at random. It's not that it's working for some people and not others either. It works for the same person randomly. 90% of the time the person is unable to connect, but every once in a while they randomly connect. Any ideas?

Yes. Like I said, it does work sometimes, seemingly at random.
