How Do I Have More Than 15 XDCC Packs?

Postby milOtis » Thu Apr 28, 2005 7:27 pm

in version 3515, (mirc 6.16) the old method of just editing the XDCC.ini file doesnt work to increase packs over 15, so how do I do it now? because my XDCC.ini file has 30 packs listed, but when i click xdcc settings in Invision I only have 15

So how do we use over XDCC if we want to server more than 15 now?

and please do not point me to this thread...(that method doesnt work anymore!)

that method allows you to add them and display them, but not via the tab method in the regular 1-15 xdcc manager.

Sorry, but that is the only way to do it. You cannot view them in the manager. If you absolutely have to have over 15, you must do it manually in the INI file.
You can find me at #Invision on irc.irchighway.net or #OldGames on irc.undernet.org if you need me for anything.

darn...invision would be perfect if it just had an open entry DCC pack setup like excursion. but i cant use excursion cause too much else about excursion sucks, so invision is the best for now...been using it since '99 or 2000, thanks :)

XDCC

Invision was never really set up for XDCC. It has basic abilities in that realm, but it is more for fserv for serving files. If you really use XDCC a lot and need that feature, you're better off using Invision for everything else and run a XDCC bot using something like Omniserv that is focused on XDCC.

Hm.. I had the wrong script name... I'll figure out what the right name is and repost that.

There are also standalone XDCC servers

Two of the ones I know off the top of my head are iroffer, and Kiri.

iroffer being my favorite of the bunch
