Damn settings keep on gettin eaten up

Postby Jedi_knight_87 » Wed Feb 02, 2005 4:31 pm

I dont know if anyone else suffers from this, but i put my settings in, use invision and then when done i exit. But the next time i start up invision all my settings get eaten up. I've been using invision for bout 3 years now and my comp jus crash so i have a fairly fresh copy. No problems in that time but for some reason there is now. I tried to save all settings, backup settings, but somehow these dont work. I even checked "Use Global Settings For All Networks" but no use. I dont know whether i should install a fresh new copy from scratch, or, if u guys can help me get up and running, I would be pleased. Thanks in advance to anyone who be helpin out. :D :D :D

Searching the forum can help you...

1) Don't use the backup settings thing
2) Make sure you're using 3515A and 6.14
3) Try deleting the folder of whatever network you're having trouble with
4) Global settings cannot be set when connected to a network... so if you were connected and set things up with the global settings option turned on, it will NOT use those settings because they aren't global settings.
5) If you can't make it work, reinstall a fresh copy and do not import settings
6) Read the sticky post in the bugs forum for fixes
You can find me at #Invision on irc.irchighway.net or #OldGames on irc.undernet.org if you need me for anything.
