fserve SHOWING files with hidden attributes

Postby CerastesCerastes » Fri Jul 16, 2004 9:44 am

My windows folder settings 'hide' the files that I have marked hidden. The thing is that people can see those files when going through my fserve. Anyone know how I can fix that? Can it be a problem with invision? These hidden files are only links but I still do not want them shown. Any help is much appreciated.

The way the fserv displays information is handled by mIRC except when you use Reverse DCC mode. This means that if it shows hidden files, it's because mIRC shows them. I'm sure you could write some kind of script to not show those, but it may be difficult. Might just be best to only serv from folders that contain just what you want to serv.
You can find me at #Invision on irc.irchighway.net or #OldGames on irc.undernet.org if you need me for anything.
