Spaces In Directory Paths for Fserve

Postby Shakey_Jake33 » Tue Feb 17, 2004 6:48 am

I've actually made a topic about this before, but since I've now narrowed down the problem...

Basically I have found I cannot have spaces in the directory path for my FServe, otherwise people cannot access the directories.... is this normal? Can it be fixed?

No, that is not normal. I use spaces often in folders. Perhaps you can provide a link to your previous post on this, or can give further information on it and we can provide more assistance.

My original post was this one http://invision.lebyte.com/i2forum/viewtopic.php?t=3252 , but in this instance, I thought it only effected drive D, but I have found this to be not true.

Here's a question for you. Do you have a problem when any directory has spaces, or only when the root directory of your fserv has spaces? Your fserv's root directory (where your trigger takes the person) should not include any spaces in the name. Any other directory should be fine with spaces.

Although I'm not positive that you can't have spaces in the root directory, from my own scripting, I can see how that could be where the problem is. Let me know if that is the case for you.
