message i get when others join channel

[cross_cut]

while i am in a channel anytime someone enters or leaves it posts something like this:

<Nick> «ip address» has Quit iRC
<Nick> (ip address) has joined

is there anyway i can get it to quit showing the ip or hostname everytime someone comes or goes. i have it set to show joins and parts in the status window, but it would still be nice to not see that everytime. thank you
