upgrading mIRC

okay, this may be a lame dumb question...

can I upgrade mIRC (currently running v6.01) to v6.03 without messing up my Invision setup? Does it overwrite anything pertinent?

Be sure to keep a copy of the mirc.ini file.
Put it back after the upgrade.
I would make a copy of the whole Invision dir just to be safe though,
