Evil Freeze!

Postby The_Shrike » Wed May 07, 2003 5:40 am

Okay, so I've been fserving on and off for the past two years, and old problems have come back to haunt me. I've used two different scripts, 54 and Invision, and both have caused my computer to freeze up randomly. My computer usually randomly freezes maybe once a week, max. While running Invision 2 days ago, it froze 3 times in as many hours. This was the worst it has ever been. When I say freeze I dont mean I have to forcefully close Invision and everything is fine again. I mean my computer no longer accepts input or provides output of any sort and I have to press the reset button. So, does anybdoy know how Invision could be doing this, how I could stop it, etc. etc?

what OS are you running it under, what's your bandwidth/pipe size, computer speed, memory, etc. These would be helpful to know to help you.
