DCC problems through firewall

I am having problems getting DCC transfers to work through my firewall. I am connected using SOCKS4 and can connect to a given network, but when I try to receive an XDCC transfer, it just times out.

Any ideas?

Hmmm..........what kind of firewall do you have?

If you are running WinXP, did you disable/re-configure the internal firewall? (Control Panel>Network and Internet Connections)

Select your connection and right click>properties.

If its a router, then i have no clue.
