software caused connection abort

i get this error quite often, what does it mean and how can i fix it?

That error is a normal error. It simply means your connection was lost. Nothing more. The reason you don't see it in other scripts is because Invision just renamed the error message.

The error can be caused by pinging out, losing your connection, etc. There is nothing really that you can do to prevent this. It's usually a problem with your connection (a hiccup as people will say).

The Microsoft site does have a thing for Windows that increases the timeout delay on networks that might help (not sure the link anymore), but I've tried it and it really doesn't do anything.

That probably just means that one network isn't very stable and you ping out or get a connection reset by peer or whatever often.
