I am looking for a way to turn off Joins & Quits.

Is there any way at all to turn this off so I don't have to see them and I can actually see everything else in the channel.

FILE -- Options -- IRC
click on the EVENTS button
in the window that pops up, click on the dropdowns to change event settings (eg: Joins Parts Quits Kicks etc) .. in your case "hide" is the option you select to "turn off" seeing channel joins, parts etc
