Trigger problems.......

Postby dazzlerp » Fri Sep 03, 2004 10:45 am

I downloaded mirc and invision a while back and had a mess about downloading odds and ends.
About a month later i have come back to it and i'm having problems.

I'M A NEWB

I remember that when i clicked on triggers it opened up a page where i could look through the files etc, but when i now do this it just brings up the dialogue page as if i'm going to talk to the user????

I have a brother who wont admit to it but could have changed some settings????

What should i do????

Any help with this matter is much appreciated

What you are probably describing is the fserv explorer. Go to main settings and check the box for fserv explorer.
You can find me at #Invision on irc.irchighway.net or #OldGames on irc.undernet.org if you need me for anything.

Sorry, but, hasn't made any difference.

When i tried to use irc, i found it difficult to do all the typing etc needed to search and get the files i wanted.

When i also got INVISION, it was so much easier that all the triggers etc was done for you just by double clicking on them.

I just don't understand why it is no longer working???

I have tried re-installing INVISION, but same outcome????

Maybe i'll try re-install of IRC then INVISION.

If that's not what you meant, then perhaps you're referring to the Ad collector window. In Main Settings, check the box for Capture Notice Ads. Then type !list and try. See if that's what you are looking for.

Personally, I recommend typing the stuff. Why? Because when you start using IRC regularly and typing stuff in there regularly, it improves your typing skills. And, considering how important typing skills are in most jobs now, that's a very useful thing to do. My typing speed has about doubled thanks to typing in IRC. Just a thought. :)
